Istanbul, July 30 (Hibya) – Economic confidence index decreased by 1.5 percent to 94.4 in July from 95.8 in June, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), released on Tuesday.
The consumer confidence index decreased by 3.1 percent to 75.9, the real sector (manufacturing industry) confidence index decreased by 1.8 percent to 98.7, the services confidence index decreased by 1.1 percent to 114.1, the retail trade confidence index decreased by 1.5 percent to 107.1, and the construction confidence index decreased by 0.9 percent to 87.1 compared to the previous month.
The economic confidence index can take a value between 0 and 200. It indicates an optimistic outlook about the general economic situation when the economic confidence index is above 100, whereas it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
